Our Products

The Brazilian hammocks you buy from Beleza Blue are either 100% organic cotton, or a 80% recycled cotton/20% Polyester (PET) mix. We commit to do all we can to make the most of technology as it advances to provide sustainable and environmentally friendly products.

Organic Cotton

Organically grown cotton uses farming methods and techniques that eliminate the use of synthetic herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers. Thus, reducing the impact that cotton farming has on the environment compared to cotton that is grown using conventional methods.

Recycled Cotton/Poly Fabrics

While farming cotton may always be necessary (hopefully in an environmentally friendly way), there is already a lot of cotton fabric throughout the world that still has a useful life. Cotton clothing and other items that were previously produced can be recycled instead of making its way to the landfills.

There are also tons of plastic waste that can still be recycled and repurposed to fit our needs. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is used to create the plastic bottles that are often simply thrown away. But when they are recycled, they can be shredded and used in conjunction with recycled cotton fabrics to add strength to each thread.

Our cotton/poly fabrics come from recycled cotton and PET bottles. These have a huge number of benefits, especially when it comes to decreasing our environmental footprint.
